"Susanna Carlisle and Bruce Hamilton are new media artists with backgrounds in video, sculpture, architecture, and computer programming. Their recent work has addressed environmental concerns such as the vulnerability and destruction of the natural world and the built environment due to climate change, natural disaster and man's impact on the environment. Their architectural projects, computer designed sculptures, single channel videos, video sculptures, and installations have been exhibited in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. They have received grants from the State of New Mexico, the National Endowment for the Arts, Albuquerque 1% for the Arts, and a fellowship from the New Mexico Experimental Glass Workshop.
Bruce was born in Montreal and received a Bachelor of Commerce from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario. He received a Master of Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania where he concentrated on graphics, studying with artist Sam Maitin.

He has developed computer programs to facilitate the design of sculpture and other three-dimensional forms. His computer-designed sculptures have been exhibited at many venues in the US and Europe. He and Susanna Carlisle collaborate on new media projects, video sculpture, and installations. Since 2007, Hamilton has been assisting Bruce Nauman with the realization and installation of Nauman’s video and audio works in the US and abroad. Between 1994 and 2005, Hamilton assisted Woody Vasulka in the creation, programming, and installation of Vasulka’s media/video installations throughout Europe, Japan and the US."
